This January, the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment at SAMHSA is proud to launch the first National Substance Use Disorder Treatment Month. The goal of this campaign is to highlight the importance of treatment, eliminate stigma to encourage open conversations surrounding treatment, and support recovery to promote best practices by healthcare providers.

January is a time of fresh starts, a perfect opportunity to reflect, reset, and make healthier choices. This month, we are sharing tools, strategies, and insights that support both prevention and treatment. By promoting informed decision-making, strengthening protective factors, and encouraging healthy habits, we can work together to reduce substance use and its associated harms.
