The 68th Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND), hosted by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), will be held from March 10–14, 2025, in Vienna, Austria. We will provide ongoing updates and information related to the CND on this page, so please check back regularly.

Side Events

NGOs with ECOSOC consultative status can organize side events in person, online, or in hybrid formats. All side events will be published in the UN journal.

Key Guidelines:

  • Applications: Submit via the online form (link to be announced) within the application period, 13-24 January 2025. Events are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to Member States.
  • Deadlines: Hybrid/online event links and co-sponsorship lists must be submitted by 28 February 2025.
  • Limit: One event per organizer; co-sponsoring multiple events is permitted. The organizer must be an NGO with ECOSOC status, while co-sponsors are not required to have this status.
  • Thematic Relevance: Events must align with the CND’s work, and Member States must be engaged if they are the focus.
  • Promotions: No CND banner or UNODC logos unless organized by UNODC.

Time Slots (CET):

  • Side events will occur during these designated times:
    • Morning: 10:00–11:00 | 11:30–12:30
    • Afternoon: 13:00–14:00 | 15:00–16:00 | 16:30–17:30

Exhibitions at the 68th CND

NGOs can display publications and promotional materials on designated Civil Society tables without applying for exhibition space.

Exhibition Applications:

  • Dates: Application period January 13–24, 2025
  • Process: Submit the online form (link to be announced), including design sketches, content, or photos uploaded via WeTransfer to unodc-sgb.events@un.org. Paste the download link in the form.
  • Locations:
    • Rotunda: Reserved for Member States
    • M Building (M0E, M01, M02): Available for other organizers. Maximum size: 4m x 3m per exhibitor.
  • Clearance: All exhibitions require Secretariat approval and must follow UN and VIC rules.
